The TSG Basic Protection Set is the perfect choice for beginners. This set includes everything you need safety wise in order to enjoy your first skating adventures. It consists of one pair of wrist guards, one pair of elbow pads and one pair of knee pads.

Wrist guards stabilize the wrist therefore protecting you from injuries. The elbow- and kneepads consist of a PE hard-shell and an EVA-foam construction that absorbs impacts. Not only does the Basic Protection Set protect you from any painful injuries, it also offers a great wearing comfort and comes at a really nice price.

Riser Pads

Riser pads are used to increase the distance between the wheels and the deck in order to prevent undesirable contact between the wheels and the deck (wheel bites) when turning.

No riser pads = 7/8" to 1" screw length

Trucks

Information about the correct skateboard truck width:

All truck manufacturers provide their trucks in different size charts. For an 8" deck, you can use an Independent 139", a Thunder 147", or a Titus 5.3" truck. To determine which truck fits perfectly under your deck, consult the size chart. The length of the truck axle should ideally match the width of the deck. Trucks should not be wider than the deck itself whenever possible. When in doubt, you can simply follow our recommendations for the appropriate deck width when choosing your trucks.

Truck Height:

Truck height is measured from the baseplate to the center of the axle. There are three different types of truck constructions that primarily differ in their height:

Low trucks provide a more direct board feel due to their lower center of gravity but should only be used with wheels up to 53mm to avoid wheel bite.

Mid trucks are the standard when it comes to truck height.

High trucks offer a wider turning angle due to their additional height.

Gutes Starter Pack

Man kann echt nichts verkehrt machen bei TSG Pads. Wichtig ist die richtige Größe. Gerade große Menschen oder trainierte sollten sich ggf zwei Größen bestellen um zu entscheiden welche nun besser passen. Sie sliden gut und nehmen dadurch viel vom Aufprall weg. Vert und aggressive Skater sollten dennoch zu der Profi Line wechseln. Sollte man schief mit den Basics aufkommen muss man sie häufig neu positionieren.

Aktualisierung - Waschen

Kurze Aktualisierung zu meiner letzten Bewertung: Der TSG-Support hat mittlerweile zurückgeschrieben, dass man die Schoner nur nicht in der Maschine waschen soll, sie empfehlen Handwäsche und ein Feinwaschmittel und wollen die FAQ auf ihrer Webseite aktualisieren. Daumen hoch und ein Stern mehr!
