Volcom: Youth Against Establishment
1991. The birth of the Volcom Stone. Best friends Richard “Wooly” Woolcott and Tucker “T-Dawg” Hall are both equally passionate board-sport aficionados. Snowboarding, skateboarding and surfing are their hobbies. They celebrated their passion by starting a company. ”Youth Against Establishment” is their leitmotif and the Volcom Stone their icon. Both Californians successfully managed to start a company which draws inspiration from snowboard, skateboard and surf scenes to create one harmonious brand image.
Volcom: The Only Constant is Change
This brand is all about bringing people together who have shared interests. Athletes, musicians and artists all influence the designs and styles the label has on offer. Creativity is a priority for Volcom. Volcom even founded their own record label in 1995 and produced tons of albums and compilations, which they gained lots of attention for. Of course, Volcom also has an excellent skate team: Rune Glifberg, Pedro Barros, Grant Taylor, Dustin Dollin, Dennis Busenitz, David Gonzalez, Dane Burman and Alec Majerus are just a couple of riders who wear and are sponsored by Volcom.
Volcom in the Titus Online Shop
Volcom often puts their “Stone” in a surreal setting or on a unique background. Volcom t-shirts and jeans frequently feature “sneaky”, almost camouflaged V-Stones hiding out where you’d least expect them: perhaps on top of the left shoulder on a sweater, or near the knee on a pair of denim. Volcom bikinis, caps, backpacks, jackets, sweatshirts and pants often feature asymmetrical detailing and seams, but they always fit you perfectly. Their products include tons of visual highlights that are unmistakably Volcom. But don’t take our word for it: our Volcom brand shop online has all the current collections for guys and ladies, along with sale items.
