The 149 Hi Polish Truck is a classic and traditional Thunder design. It features a polished raw metal hanger and baseplate with high-quality yellow bushings that offer superb steering response and longevity. The 149s are ideal for deck widths ranging from 8.25" to 8.75" wide.

Riser Pads

Riser pads are used to increase the distance between the wheels and the deck in order to prevent undesirable contact between the wheels and the deck (wheel bites) when turning.

Trucks

Information about the correct skateboard truck width:

All truck manufacturers provide their trucks in different size charts. For an 8" deck, you can use an Independent 139", a Thunder 147", or a Titus 5.3" truck. To determine which truck fits perfectly under your deck, consult the size chart. The length of the truck axle should ideally match the width of the deck. Trucks should not be wider than the deck itself whenever possible. When in doubt, you can simply follow our recommendations for the appropriate deck width when choosing your trucks.

Truck Height:

Truck height is measured from the baseplate to the center of the axle. There are three different types of truck constructions that primarily differ in their height:

Low trucks provide a more direct board feel due to their lower center of gravity but should only be used with wheels up to 53mm to avoid wheel bite.

Mid trucks are the standard when it comes to truck height.

High trucks offer a wider turning angle due to their additional height.

Super Standart Achsen

Thunder überzeugt mit schlichtem Design, super Achsen!

Einfach zu montieren

In Sachen Qualität und Haltbarkeit steht diese Achse der Konkurrenz (u.a. Independent) nichts entgegen.

Sie ist etwas leichter als vergleichbare Independent Achsen (die Baseplate hat etwas weniger Material) -das beeinträchtigt die Haltbarkeit aber auf keinen Fall.

Für meinen Geschmack grinden die Thunder Achsen smoother als Independent Achsen. Der Kingpin ist vgl. hoch wie die Independent Stage 10 (Stage 11 ist dieser ja etwas herabgesetzt).

Die Thunder HI Achsen ist eher eine Mid. Achse vgl. mit ACE Achsen. Sollte man ggf. bezügl. Wheelbites berücksichtigen. Aber 56mm Wheels lassen sich auch hier problemlos ohne Riser Pads fahren (bei Verwendung von Bones Bushings).

Die Stock Bushings (sehr soft) habe ich noch nicht ausprobiert. Ich fahre die Achsen immer mit Bones HC Bushings 91a. Passen perfekt rein und fühlen sich perfekt an (Lenkung/ Stabilität).

Bin begeistert und sehr zufrieden mit diesen Achsen!
