The best skate shoes and sers at TITUS

In our Titus Online Shop, guys have an insane range of shoe options to choose from. Countless low tops, mid tops and high tops with vulcanized or cup soles from brands such as Nike SB, Vans, Adidas Skateboarding, Dekline, Osiris, Converse, Emerica, Etnies, C1rca, Supra, Globe, DC Shoes, and many, many more are all yours for the taking!

Which Shoes Are the Most Suitable for Skating?

Which shoe should you buy if they’re going to be coming in contact with griptape and stress caused by skating? For starters, you should definitely pay attention to the performance features the skate shoe includes. The upper material should be durable and yet soft in order to provide you with a precise boardfeel. Canvas is better for comfortable every day sneakers or ‘après-skate’ shoes, and different types of leather such as suede and nubuck are more appropriate for skating. All of the descriptions in our online shop explain the construction and upper material of our shoes in more detail for your information.

Skate Shoe Soles - Which One is Right for You?

The sole on your skate shoe is very important. A cushioning insole which protects against hard landings and shocks is as vital as an outer sole with a good grip. Whether you prefer wearing a cup sole or a vulcanized sole construction is entirely up to you. Cup soles are harder and stiffer and need to be broken in a little bit but offer you a higher level of protection and comfort. Vulcanized soles are thinner and instantly offer you a better boardfeel but have less cushioning. In our shop, you can filter for both types of sole constructions. If you’d like a sole that molds to fit your foot’s shape perfectly, we recommend the excellent, ultra-comfy insoles from Footprint FP, Etcetera and Remind - not just comfortable, insoles offer you more protection on your board as well.

Skate Shoes’ Special Features

In addition to the aforementioned features, two particular ones provide your shoe with a longer wear life and more functionality: a reinforced ollie area is indispensable and prevents holes from showing up on the sides of your shoe. Equally important is the shoelacing system, which can be reinforced with eyelets or shoelace protectors to prevent busted laces. In the event of a pesky hole popping up on your shoe after a long session, good ol’ shoe goo is there to help!

Sneakers and After-Skate Shoes

If you’re just looking for a pair of great kicks for daily life, we’ve got tons of options available to you. Running shoes, sandals, flip flops, and even lined winter shoes and boots can all be found in our Online Shop. Particularly popular are our sandals from Volcom and Billabong and of course the Nike Air Max I Runner.

If you’re concerned about production practices, you also have the option of searching for vegan shoes made from canvas or synthetic materials.
