WHICH SKATEBOARD TRUCKS ARE BEST FOR ME?
A skateboard is more than just a deck, you’re gonna need some trucks too! It’s important to make sure that the width and height of your skateboard trucks are fitting to the deck width and your personal skate style. Generally, the truck width should match the width of your deck as closely as possible. When searching for trucks, we recommend filtering your search results in our online shop by “deck width”. Then, you will see only trucks that suit your deck properly. There are low, medium, and high heights of various truck models. The height will influence steering performance (in addition to the bushings and how tight you adjust your trucks) and depends on personal preference. A low truck is generally ideal for technical street skating while high trucks are usually preferred by park and transition skaters. SELECTING THE PERFECT SKATEBOARD WHEELS FOR YOU
Wheels are your board’s direct contact with the ground and they make a big difference in how your board will skate! Here, you must specifically pay attention to the hardness and diameter of the wheel. If you tend to skate rougher surfaces, you may want to opt for a softer wheel for a more comfortable ride. If you often skate at skateparks or places with smooth ground, a harder wheel will roll faster and offer desirable slideability. The diameter of skateboard wheels are measured in millimeters. Larger wheels have a higher top speed but are less responsive at slower speeds. Smaller wheels respond quickly and weigh less but are not as ideal for skating fast in a bowl or large ramp. Various wheel shapes can also impact how your board will lock into grinds on rails and ledges.
