Enjoi Skateboards: we skate, we party, we live life to have fun.
Enjoi Skateboards was founded in 2000 by pro skater Marc Johnson and can sort of be considered the class clown of the skateboard industry. Skate mastermind Rodney Mullen helped from the start, successfully adding the label to Dwindle Distribution’s impressive roster of brand names. The famous panda logo and the name “Enjoi” actually came to Marc Johnson in a dream. That was a productive nap, right?! Johnson left the company in 2003 and has been skating for Chocolate Skateboards since then.
Enjoi Boards from the Dwindle Factory
The colorful Enjoi skateboard decks and skate wheels with cartoon-like graphics are made by Dwindle. The company has years’ worth of experience in producing skateboards. The high-quality decks from Almost, Blind, Cliché, Darkstar and Zero all come from Rodney Mullen and Steve Rocco’s Dwindle Distribution as well. Like we mentioned, many of Enjoi’s graphics are bright, colorful and often quite cheeky. Enjoi always sees things with a sense of humor - if you’re into controversy, this is the label for you. Their designs come from the likes of Jason Adams, Jim Houser, Dan Drehobl, Thom Lessner and Rob Mathieson, among other artists.
The Posse: Enjoi’s Skate Team
Marc Johnson basically just started his skate team with all of his best bros. Jerry Hsu, Louie Barletta and Dave Mayhew were the first team riders for Enjoi. The current lineup includes Cairo Foster, Caswell Berry, Wieger Van Wageningen, Louie Barletta, Nestor Judkins, Jose Rojo, Zack Wallin, Ben Raemers and Clark Hassler. These team riders are also responsible for the videos “Tweak the Beef”, “Oververt” and “Bag of Suck”, the latter of which even won the Skate Video of the Year Award from Transworld Magazine in 2007.
