The History Behind Globe Shoes and Skateboards
Globe was founded by three brothers from Melbourne, Australia: Peter, Stephen and Matt Hill. Their label started off with the name “Hardcore” and was more of a skateboard distribution company than anything else. The first shoes and clothing items sporting the Globe brand name were released in 1994. The rest, as they say, was history. Today, Globe sneakers can be found on the feet of pro skaters like Chris Haslam, Rodney Mullen, Louie Barletta, Ryan Dezenco, Mark Appleyard, Paul Hart and David Gonzales - not to mention tons of not-so-professional skaters, too!
Globe Skateboards: From Bantam to Prowler
In addition to their successful sneaker and streetwear collections, the Australians have also released some great cruisers and longboards in recent years. Globe’s cruisers and longboards are number one worldwide. Globe’s Bantam Cruisers and Prowler Longboards can be seen on the streets of everywhere from the Gold Coast to the middle of Berlin. Of course, those are only two of many popular models. All Globe skate products come with top notch parts and components, which make both the chillest cruises and the wildest carves possible!
