OJ Wheels: Insane-A-thane
OJ Wheels have been making excellent urethane skate wheels since the middle of the 80s already. The guys behind Santa Cruz decided to start their own wheel company, and OJ Wheels was born. Skaters like Natas Kaupas, Christian Hosoi and Eric Dressen all skate on their team. Transition skaters have always been particularly big fans of OJ Wheels.
The Decline and Resurrection of OJ Wheels
As streetskating became more popular towards the end of the 80s, OJ Wheels started to disappear from the scene. It took until 2010 for Santa Cruz and the massive NHS Distribution Company to start thinking about a brand revamp and giving the label another try. Good thing they did! Thanks to solid anti-flat-spot formulas and increased durability, OJ Wheels started to be seen as an equally valuable alternative to the giant Bones Wheels company. The new OJs are high-tech, modern and can appeal to skateboarders and longboarders alike.
The OJ Wheels Team
Whenever high-quality materials come back on the market, the pros wont be far away. OJ Wheels has a serious team: over 60 famous skaters skate for OJ. That includes Wes Kremer, Geoff Rowley, Greyson Fletcher, Figgy, Ben Raemers, Jason Jessee and Marius Syvanen, among others.
